This is why we agreed to collaborate with the community of Duwehn Town in the development of sustainable education for their children. The vision for the Barw’du School in Liberia, Africa, is capturing the imagination, energy and skills of a global network of leaders determined to “get the school built”.
It is a school being built by the community for the community. When London based Leadership Coach Simon Crowe answered the call of Liberian Emmanuel Wragboe; to build a school for the children of Duwehn Town in Grand Bassa, the community became global.
Since 2015 Simon has taken groups of inspired and committed people from around the world to progress the project with the community. Miami based Architect, Jaya Kader, saw that the project afforded the possibility to imagine architects as activists who seek to transform through interventions from the ground up. Through her engagement with the local community on a visit in 2017, the design and build of Barw’du School has become possible.
Join us in the next stage of getting the school built!
What could you experience if you joined us?
Each year we take a group of inspired and committed leaders out to Liberia for a leadership intensive like no other!
Simon Crowe and those who joined our leadership intensive in 2017 share what it meant to them and what they learnt about Liberia, Leadership and themselves.
